London's SHEER GREED was formed by three ex-members of early 80's Glam group GIRL, the Laffy brothers and drummer Pete Barnacle, the trio - named after a GIRL song - also went on to record two further albums under the title GERRY & SIMON LAFFY. Barnacle had earlier enjoyed terms with GILLAN and BROKEN HOME.

The debut SHEER GREED album, 1992's 'Sublime To The Ridiculous', was produced by ex-GIRL and current DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen. The album also had guest vocals by former GIRL and current L.A. GUNS singer PHIL LEWIS. The Live album was recorded in the salubrious climes of London's Royal Standard pub in Walthamstow.

Post SHEER GREED, Neil Gabbitas would work with the TRACIE HUNTER BAND, fronted by daughter of MOTT THE HOOPLE's Ian Hunter. Simon Laffy renewed his musical union with Phil Collen to form MAN-RAZE, cutting a 2005 album.
