Biography
The short-lived INFORMER, based in London, comprised a set of esteemed players. Drummer NICKO McBRAIN had been a member of AXE earlier in his career, an outfit that included producer and CHARLIE guitarist Terry Thomas, and also appeared on albums by STREETWALKERS and STRETCH. INFORMER also involved erstwhile STALLION and HIGHWAY vocalist John Elstar, ex-SIDEWINDER and STALLION guitarist Stuart Smith and WHITESNAKE bassist Neil Murray.
INFORMER folded when McBrain joined IRON MAIDEN for their 'Piece Of Mind' 1983 album. Murray successively worked with WHITESNAKE once again, VOW WOW and BLACK SABBATH. Stuart Smith issued solo album 'Heaven And Earth' in 1998, later forming the HEAVEN AND EARTH band.
