Biography

Morecombe Thrashers D.A.M. ("Destruction And Mayhem"), including ex-METAL HEART guitarist John Bury amongst their number, debuted with a three track demo, 'Human Wreckage', in 1988 and followed it with a second tape entitled 'Destruction And Mayhem'. Whereas the original line-up featured bassist Liam Godden the four-string slot was subsequently filled by Andy Elliot, featuring on both published albums, until Dave Pugh got the nod.

D.A.M. supported both TORANAGA and ACID REIGN in 1989 before a plethora of 1990 gigs opening for a European double billing of DARK ANGEL and NUCLEAR ASSAULT. It was during this tour that the band was captured on the '3 Way Thrash' video, by which time the 'Human Wreckage' debut album had been released through Noise Records.

CD variants of the 1991 album 'Inside Out' added two extra tracks in 'Thought For The Day' and 'Circles'. Guitarist Elly quit in 1991 to form BURNT OAK, releasing the 'English Rock n' Roll' demo in 1993, whereas Dave Pugh would join SKYCLAD in 1992.
