Biography

ICE is the 2001 title given to former RAINBOW vocalist Doogie White's solo venture. The Motherwell native has had a colourful career in the Rock field starting out with covers band TRYXTER, moving on to LA PAZ then MIDNIGHT BLUE. Short stints with JAN CYRKA and SOLE ASYLUM led to a Japanese tour fronting PRAYING MANTIS as a stand in. Further acts CHAIN and LA SALLE would culminate in a 'close but no cigar' run in with IRON MAIDEN and demo work with COZY POWELL. Following an unsuccessful audition with German act PINK CREAM 69 White's tenacity paid off with an invitation to join RAINBOW for their 'Stranger In Us All' album.

The Jack Guy produced ICE project saw White reunited with his former LA PAZ colleague guitarist Chris McSherry, his ex MIDNIGHT BLUE running mate guitarist Alex Dickson (known for his work with GUN and BRUCE DICKINSON), VAN DAMME guitarist Ashley Limer and ex-UFO and FM keyboard player Jem Davis. Bass was handled by Gary Liedeman and the veteran figure of BLACK SABBATH and WHITESNAKE bassist Neil Murray.
