Biography

Newcastle upon Tyne based Rock band that proved to be one of the first ports of call for future YES drummer Alan White. Vocalist Graham Bell and bassist Colin Gibson are ex-SKIP BIFFERTY and HEAVY JELLY. Guitarist Pete Kirtley and keyboard player Kenny Craddock were ex-HAPPY MAGAZINE.

When GRIFFIN folded White, Craddock & Bell founded BELL & ARC issuing an album in 1971. Craddock also appeared the same year on the 'Hightower' album by ROSSETTA HIGHTOWER. White also was a member of BALLS. Gibson, White & Craddock stuck together joining GINGER BAKER'S AIRFORCE before Gibson teamed up with SNAFU.

Craddock & Gibson turned up as guests on ALAN WHITE's solo album of 1976 'Ramshackled'. The following year found Kirtley, Craddock & Gibson on the RADIATOR album of Pub Rock 'Isn't It Strange'.
