Glasgow Death / Grindcore act CO-EXIST, founded during 1998, feature MURDER ONE, MEDULLA NOCTE and LAZARUS BLACKSTAR vocalist Paul Catten. The band had initially been formed as an adjunct to CONFUSION CORPORATION by bassist Danny McNab, drummer Quzzy and guitarist Charlie, subsequently enlisting second guitarist JJ.First sessions came in the form of a demo entitled 'Implementation Of A Secret Plan To Kill Your Neighbours', followed up by 'Chapter 3 - How To Hunt Humans And Skin Them For Use Around The Home' then 2002's 'Phase 4 : Bred For Violence'.

The Undergroove label issued the album 'Surgical Removal Of The Teeth, Toenails And Drilling Of The Kneecaps', recorded at Redeye Studio in Clydebank, in September 2005. Although Catten features on the album he would be replaced by Dawson, another erstwhile CONFUSION CORPORATION member. CO-EXIST partnered with REFLUX and EDEN MAINE for UK touring in March 2005.

Album tracks recorded during 2008 saw Dawson's original vocal lines replaced by new singer Mark. Joe McGlynn from MAN MUST DIE guested on these sessions. Bassist Paul exited before completion.

The band folded in 2009.
