Biography

Multi-national act FAR CORPORATION is best noted for their shameless chart attempt at LED ZEPPELIN's 'Stairway To Heaven'. The band was fronted by ex-GRAND PRIX frontman ROBIN McAULEY and drums were handled by veteran session man Simon Phillips. Guests on the 1985 debut included TOTO's BOBBY KIMBALL, David Paich and STEVE LUKATHER, with SAGA drummer Curt Cress.

The 1994 follow up, 'Solitude', which sported a rendition of STEELY DAN's 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number', found Kimball, Lukather, Paich and Cress in the studio once more alongside THIN LIZZY guitarist Scott Gorham.

McAuley went on to found McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP. He would join SURVIVOR as their frontman during 2006. McAuley put in a one off performance fronting THE BIG BALL STARS, alongside vocalist / guitarist John Corabi, of MȪTLEY CRÜE, UNION and RATT, drummer Chris Slade, of URIAH HEEP and AC/DC, keyboard player Teddy Zig-Zag, of GUNS 'N ROSES, plus the RATT credited Robbie Crane on bass and Brent Woods from the VINCE NEIL band, in a live set on January 27th 2007 at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California.
