On paper a potentially great act, unfortunately DOG SOLDIER's sole album despite its individual members pedigree is less than startling. Ex-SAVOY BROWN and HEMLOCK frontman Miller Anderson would later work with T REX, THE DUKES, CHICKENSHACK, BROKEN GLASS and MOUNTAIN. Anderson was also a member of HEMLOCK. Fellow guitarist Derek Griffiths had pre DOG SOLDIER played for ST. VALENTINE'S DAY MASSACRE, ARGENT and THE ARTWOODS.

Drummer Keef Hartley issued numerous calbums under the banner THE KEEF HARTLEY BAND whilst bassist Paul Bliss followed suit with the shortlived PAUL BLISS BAND, issuing two albums 'Dinner With Raoul' in 1978 and 'Neon Smiles' in 1979, before joining THE MOODY BLUES.

By 1989 Griffiths was a member of the GB BLUES CO. alongside ex ARGENT bassist Jim Rodford and vocalist Bobby Tench. The late 90's found Griffiths and Rodford as members of WICKED along with son Steve Rodford on drums and Chris Patten of THE STRAWBS.

Anderson featured on DEEP PURPLE keyboard player JON LORD's 2000 solo album 'Pictured Within'.
