Biography
Clive Nolan of established UK Progressive Rock acts PENDRAGON and ARENA united with Oliver Wakeman of the THREE AGES PROJECT (and also son of RICK WAKEMAN) for this ambitious undertaking, debuting in 1999 with the 'Jabberwocky' album, directly inspired by the 1872 C.S. Lewis work 'Through The Looking Glass And What Alice Found There'. Studio guests included such luminaries as RICK WAKEMAN, MAGNUM vocalist BOB CATLEY, Ian Salmon of JANISON EDGE and SHADOWLAND on guitar, Peter Gee of PENDRAGON, TRACY HITCHINGS of LANDMARQ, STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, GANDALF and QUASAR repute as well as erstwhile YES man PETER BANKS. The character roles would be portrayed by Bob Catley as the Boy, James Plumridge as the Jabberwock and Paul Allison cast as the Tree.
The 2002 album would be an adventurous concept piece based upon the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle 'Sherlock Holmes' tale. Catley, Hitchings, Gee and Banks all reprised their roles whilst other guests on the album included the esteemed actor Robert Powell contributing narrative, Ashley Holt of the RICK WAKEMAN band. Musical contributions came courtesy of Arjen Lucasson of AYREON, Karl Groom of THRESHOLD, bassist John Jowitt of IQ and Rick Fernandez. The pair projected an endeavour based upon the 'Frankenstein' story in 2003 but subsequently put this idea on the back burner.
Throughout 2005 and 2006 Clive Nolan worked up his Rock Opera CAAMORA project in union with singer Agnieszka Swita. To coincide with CAAMORA live dates in October 2006 Nolan issued an EP, credited to CLIVE NOLAN & AGNIESZKA SWITA, entitled 'Closer'.
