Biography

Welsh Glamsters CITY KIDDS formed in Cardiff during 1989, releasing a demo the same year, with the first line-up consisting of vocalist Jamie Kall, guitarist Kelly Valentine, bassist Steve C. Bright and drummer Mick Vallance. Vocalist Kall chose to join KING KATWALK and was replaced briefly by ex-BELLADONNA vocalist Josie St. John, but his time with the KIDDS was short and sweet, soon being ousted by Josh Kane.

With Kane involved the band subsequently released the 'Thinktank' and 'Voice Of Tomorrow' demos before Kelly Valentine quit in late 1991 to be superseded by Kerry Wild. This line-up was that which recorded the 'Generation Love' single, before Bright and Vallance were dethroned by the arrival of bassist Steve Marie and drummer Matt Moran.

Guitarist Julian Gardner formed SOUL REBELLION in 1992 touring with KILLERS in 1995. Ex-SHOTGUN WEDDING drummer Ian Danter joined in 1994. CITY KIDDS supported fellow Welsh Glam titans TIGERTAILZ on their late 1994 British tour prior to the Kane led mob adopting a new name in SONS OF GOD.

Matt Moran, as 'Matt Blackout', joined TIGERTAILZ. In September 2006 CITY KIDDS bass player Glen Quinn stepped in as substitute for TIGERTAILZ live work when regular bassist Pepsi Tate was hospitalised suffering from stomach pains diagnosed as an "internal muscle seizure". Ian Danter joined Nottingham KISS tribute band DRESSED TO KILL.
