Punk act founded by ex ENGLISH DOGS and PRODIGY guitarist Gizz Butt named after actresses Koo Stark and Samantha Janus. The debut 1998 album 'The Great Adventure Cigar' was produced by ex-CHARLIE guitarist Terry Thomas. Touring in Britain had to be postponed after bassist Shop injured his hand.

JANUS STARK added new drummer Carl Alty in late 1999. The band announced a name change to FORCE FED but emerged in 2000 on the live circuit still billed as JANUS STARK. By 2000 Pinch had joined the DAMNED. Gizz Butt returned in 2004 with THE MORE IS SEE.
