Renowned YARDBIRDS guitarist JEFF BECK teamed up with VANILLA FUDGE and CACTUS musicians vocalist / bassist TIM BOGERT and drummer CARMINE APPICE for this 70's supergroup. Completing the group was noted session keyboard player Duane Hitchings, also of CACTUS repute, and pianist Jimmy Greenspoon. The self-titled album emerged during 1973 and scored significant chart success in both the USA and the UK.

By 1975 Beck had gone solo once more for his most successful album to date, 'Blow By Blow'. Appice journeyed through KGB, the OZZY OSBOURNE band and KING KOBRA prior to joining forces with Bogert once again to re-found VANILLA FUDGE.
