Not to be confused with the American Hard Rock band of the same name, who released a self-titled album through RCA Records in 1986, this AVIATOR featured vocalist Mick Rogers, who was previously with MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND. Keyboard player Jack Lancaster is ex-BLODWYN PIG and drummer Clive Bunker is ex-STEVE HILLAGE and JETHRO TULL.

Lancaster had departed by the second album issuing a solo album 'Deep Green' during 1987. The album cover for 'Turbulence' was later used, albeit printed the other way around, by Capitol for the Los Angeles band STORM's eponymously titled second album in the mid 80's.
