Previously known as CNN under which title the band released a string of singles. American news network CNN objected to the former title hence the change.

Guitarist Tim Bricheno is a veteran of pop act ALL ABOUT EVE and cult Gothic godfathers SISTERS OF MERCY. Quitting the SISTERS OF MERCY he was to create CNN during 1991 with former JELLYFISH KISS vocalist David Tomlinson and ex BUTTERFLIES drummer Neill Lambert. The band was quick to ink a deal with Transglobal, a division of Rhythm King Records, in 1993.
