WINTERVILLE are led by Blues prodigy Peter Shoulder. From the guitarist's debut gig in 2000, in front of a 15,000 strong audience at the Stanley Blues festival, when Shoulder was a mere fifteen years old, the trio soon generated waves resulting in the landing of a deal with major label Island Records in 2004. Taking his influences from 60s and 70s classic Blues Rock artists, Shoulder's formative outfits included THE BLUE SHOULDERS and THE PETE SHOULDER BAND.

The new group was assembled with the recruitment of Dutchman Mario Goossens on drums, from the Belgian trip hop band HOOVERPHONIC, and bassist Joss Clapp from Folk band TARRAS. In September of 2003, at Northern Recordings in Consett, THE KEYTONES was brought to life, soon entering Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire to record seven songs. Remarkably, Nashville producer Jon Tiven heard these tracks and was impressed enough by Shoulder's abilities he was invited to perform on a LITTLE MILTON album he was recording.

In late 2003 WINTERVILLE's debut live shows came as support to THUNDER. In mid 2004 the band signed to Island Records for the album 'Everything In Moderation'. However, discovering that the 50s band THE KEYTONES were still active a name change to WINTERVILLE was adopted in October. Their first bout of live promotion was a guest spot on THIN LIZZY's 2005 UK tour to plug the preceding EP 'The Fallout Sessions'. Subsequent healine gigs in April and May would be promoted by the release of the 'Shotgun Smile' single.

The band put in a significant appearance at the GUNS N' ROSES headlined 'Download' festival in Castle Donington, UK on June 11th.
