WHOLE LOTTA METAL is a seasoned cast of British Metal musicians assembled for a touring cast of cover versions. Quite oddly, the esteemed figure of former BLACK SABBATH singer TONY MARTIN chose to front the whole affair. Also on vocals would be the PERSIAN RISK and KROKUS credited Carl Sentence and ex-TOKYO ROSE frontman MATT MORETON. The remainder of the band comprised of guitarist Dave Bishop, citing credits with SABBAT, STRANGER and LOUD MAN, second guitarist Andy Shortland from DR. AND THE MEDICS, bass player Rich Lynn, keyboard player Simon Wright and drummer Karl Smalley.

The band set out on a 2004 British club tour delivering a set made up of tunes from WHITESNAKE, LED ZEPPELIN, AC/DC, BLACK SABBATH, VAN HALEN, OZZY OSBOURNE and DEF LEPPARD amongst many others.

Both Martin and Moreton would feature on Tom Galley's 2004 PHENOMENA opus 'Psychofantasy'. Moreton joined fabled NWoBHM era Wolverhampton Heavy Metal band CLOVEN HOOF for a 2005 album 'Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely'. Sentence returned in 2006 fronting the POWER PROJECT with the 'Dinosaurs' album. This Anglo / American quartet comprised seasoned players of high repute with delegated to QUIET RIOT's Carlos Cavazo, the DOKKEN and DIO credited Jeff Pilson on bass and BLACK SABBATH and DIO man Vinny Appice on drums. The singer would also head up the XXX BAND.
