Formed in London in 1987, VIRUS offered a primitive brand of Thrash that did improve as albums progressed. Indeed, the band often had to defend themselves in the media for their pro-Punk leanings. The group's inaugural demos would feature session guitar solos from Yaasin Hanif of TARGA. Hanif would also be on hand to produce the first album, 'Pray For War'. VIRUS toured as support to the CELTIC FROST and KREATOR UK tour of October 1987 and also put in shows opening for DEATH ANGEL and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. VIRUS also gained a slot at the prestigious Leeds thrash festival alongside MEGADETH. The band was due to tour North America with DEATH but this was cancelled.

In 1991 Heston and Kaylor formed SAVAGE CIRCLE with vocalist / bassist J.D. Cooper and guitarist Syd Sholley.
