Biography

TIGER are a band recognized more for what vocalist Nicky Moore and guitarist Big Jim Sullivan achieved in later years than the material recorded whilst the pair were playing together, despite Sullivan's quite illustrious career as a much in demand session man dating back to the early sixties. The second album, 'Goin' Down Laughing', sees Andy Bown on bass, later of STATUS QUO.

Whilst Moore subsequently joined SAMSON, ULI JON ROTH and "fat man" band MAMMOTH, Sullivan, having made his mark previously with the all star GREEN BULLFROG project, wound up on the other side of the desk, co-producing American Pomp Metal band ANGEL's first two albums with DEEP PURPLE producer Derek Lawrence.

Sullivan returned to Britain to cut a third TIGER album for EMI. Musicians were Sullivan, Moore, ex-FANCY bassist Mo Foster, GREENSLADE and SAMURAI man Dave Lawson with Alan Parks on keyboards and session drummer Simon Phillips. Unfortunately the album was shelved.

Latterly Moore fronts his own NICKY MOORE'S BLUES CONNECTION and rejoined SAMSON in 1999.
