TEETH OF LIONS RULE THE DIVINE, titled after the EARTH track, are a bona fide Stoner-Doom 'supergroup'. This 2001 combo featured the talents of CATHEDRAL mainman Lee Dorrian on vocals, BURNING WITCH, SUNN0))) and KHANATE member Steve O'Malley, GOATSNAKE, SUNN0))) and THORR'S HAMMER man Greg Anderson and erstwhile IRON MONKEY and HARD TO SWALLOW member Justin Greaves.

The initial conception of the band had been gelled in 2000 when Stephen O'Malley and Justin Greaves started writing up material with Marvin of THE VARUKERS on bass guitar. Working in Greaves hometown of Nottingham this proto instrumental version of the band actually put in a low key gig at the miniscule Old Angel pub.

The unrelentingly, stupefyingly heavy and trancelike April 2002 debut album, produced by Billy Anderson and comprising just three tracks clocking in at 55 minutes, is named after the infamous maximum security mental asylum. 'The Smiler' is a KILLDOZER cover version.

In early 2007 Greg Anderson announced BURIAL CHAMBER TRIO, a heavyweight Doom union with Hungarian vocalist Attila Csihar, of TORMENTOR, MAYHEM, ABORYM, KEEP OF KALESSIN, KOROG and PLASMA POOL.
