STEVE HOWE

Biography

Veteran ex YES, ASIA and GTR guitarist Steve Howe has released a great deal of solo material over a lengthy period, opening with 1975's 'Beginnings' on Atlantic. The man's third release, 1992's 'Turbulence', featured GTR and SAXON drummer Nigel Glockler, ULTRAVOX keyboard player Billie Currie and fellow YES member Bill Bruford on drums. 1993's 'Grand Scheme Of Things' was more of a family affair, including contributions from Howe's sons Dylan and Virgil and also his wife Janet.

In 1994 the 'Mothballs' album appeared and turned out to be a collection of early Howe material including tracks by SYNDICATS, IN CROWD, TOMORROW, CANTO and BODAST alongside solo material. The same year 'Not Necessarily Acoustic' emerged. Recorded in Philadelphia on 12th December 1993 the album features acoustic versions of YES, GTR and Howe's solo material.

1996's 'Homebrew' offers alternative takes on Howe's back catalogue, including YES and GTR songs. Howe would feature as a guest artist on the 2001 ASIA album 'Aura'. The 2003 album 'Elements' would be credited to STEVE HOWE'S REMEDY.
