For many years Steve 'Dobby' Dawson formed the bass mainstay of premier British Metal band SAXON. Leaving SAXON Dawson operated with USI for a short tenure and recorded a solo album. Dawson hooked up with his erstwhile SAXON guitar partner GRAHAM OLIVER to (re) create SON OF A BITCH in the late 90's, this act evolving into OLIVER DAWSON SAXON.

Dawson would contribute to GRAHAM OLIVER's 2001 solo album 'End Of An Era'. The early post SAXON recordings only surfaced in February 2002 through the Angel Air label.
