Biography

The short-lived QANGO originated during 1999 when a proposed classic ASIA reunion fell apart. Two of the protaganists, JOHN WETTON and drummer Carl Palmer, established QANGO as an interim live venture for a run of UK gigs between February and April of 2000. Joining them would be guitarist Dave Kilminster, citing credits with RIO, Wetton's band, and John Young, also of Wetton's band. The album 'Live In The Hood', which included various ASIA and EMERSON LAKE & PALMER tracks, was recorded at the Robin Hood Tavern in Brierley Hill, West Midlands on the 3rd of February.

John Young subsequently went on to work with FISH and GREENSLADE. Wetton picked up his solo career whilst Dave Kilminster joined KEITH EMERSON's band.
