Fronted by the strong vocals of Gordon McArthur, following a string of sold out Marquee shows and a successful spot at the 1982 Reading Festival ORE split in early 1983. Bassist Dave Boyce and guitarist Dave Howard put together a band with former TANK drummer Mark Brabbs, but it was shortlived. Howard joined Australian band BLACK ALICE for a short period but returned to Britain in 1984 to reform ORE with a line-up of Howard, McArthur, Elphick and bassist John Hennessey of SLEDGEHAMMER. Elphick also spent a period of time with AOR band MORITZ and later IF ONLY.
