AXISS was an early 80s Newcastle upon Tyne Hard Rock outfit. Guitarist Glenn S. Howe would find prominence with NWOBHM bands BLITZKRIEG, TYGERS OF PAN TANG and AVENGER plus EARTHROD and Doom outfit THE REIGN. Drummer Stid (real name Andrew Stidolph) went on to join PHASSLAYNE, GUNSLINGER, BROKEN ANGELS, WHATEVER, THE JELLYS and THE WILDHEARTS. Guitarist Steve Dawson worked with BLUEPRINT and THE ANIMALS.

By 2006 Howe was fronting JUDAS PRIEST tribute band JUDAS BEAST.
