MONOLITH was rooted in a prior act entitled CATALEPSY, which issued the 1988 demo 'Faces Of Death' before switching title in 1992 for a 7" single 'Sleep With The Dead'. MONOLITH drummer Nick Barker later found high status with CANCER, subbing when regular drummer Carl Stokes was hospitalised, CRADLE OF FILTH, LOCKUP, BRUJERIA and DIMMU BORGIR.
