Biography
MINDFEED was the culmination of the talents of two ex-THRESHOLD members, vocalist Glynn Morgan and drummer Jay Micciche. The 'Perfect Life?' album was produced by former SABBAT guitarist Andy Sneap. Additional bass tracks were laid down by JADIS, ARK and IQ man John Jowitt.
In 1999 ex-STORMWATCH guitarist John Slater would join the band for a European tour supporting SYMPHONY X before he joined ex-IRON MAIDEN vocalist Blaze Bayley in his 2000 act BLAZE. With vacancies in both drummer and guitarist departments MINDFEED enrolled erstwhile SAXON man Dave Brougham on drums in May of 1999 and, on a temporary basis, Steve Ramsey of SKYCLAD on guitar.
MINDFEED debuted this line up at the annual 'Wacken Open Air' festival although their performance was severely affected due to Ramsey having been beaten up by over zealous backstage security. The guitarist completed the gig with a bloody head injury. Meantime, Micciche teamed up with Kent Nu-Metallers VACANT STARE in 2000 and would also deputize for KILL II THIS on the road. The writing was on the wall for MINDFEED at this stage. The group completed one last set of demos, produced by JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill, before calling it a day.
October of 2004 saw John Slater exiting BLAZE to forge RISE TO ADDICTION. Glynn Morgan went on to write material, as yet unreleased, with GEEZER guitarist Pedro Howse, before joining the THE NEW BLACKS.
