Biography
A rather bizarre project uniting stage musical themes, MAX'S BROADWAY CHOIR was put together by former Apple Records employee Jeff Michelson, apparently after the man had received a vision to find fame by relocating to the UK and founding a Heavy Metal band. The project employed a collection of known and unknown muso's, the most well known being the duo of keyboard player Phil Manchester (a.k.a. Didge Digital) and drummer Pete Jupp, both on loan from FM, and ex-ANGEL WITCH and TYTAN bassist Kevin Riddles.
Guitarist Steve Bolton was ex-ATOMIC ROOSTER and HEADSTONE, guitarist JAN CYRKA had played with his own band CYRKA.
Cyrka later joined ZODIAC MINDWARP under the nom de plume 'Flash Bastard' before pursuing a solo career. Bolton toured with PAUL YOUNG and joined THE WHO as live guitarist in 1990. He also appears on PINK FLOYD man RICK WRIGHT's 1996 solo album 'Broken China'.
