Biography
AMPLIFIER is a Manchester modern Rock outfit created in 1999. Signing to Music For Nations in 2002, the debut, eponymous album, co-produced by frontman Sel Balamir and Steve Lyon, arrived in May of 2004, preceded by UK gigs supporting DEFTONES, THERAPY?, SPAN, GARY NUMAN and MELISSA AUF DER MAUR. To coincide, the band undertook the 'Metal Hammer' sponsored tour of the UK, followed by German festival dates at the Southside Festival in Tuttlingen and Hurricane Festival in Hamburg.
AMPLIFIER cut a 40 minute mini-album 'The Astronaut Dismantles HAL' in mid 2005. The band returned with the 'Insider' album of September 2006.
