Lichfield Melodic Rockers BIG DAISY featured ex GYPSY members vocalist Mervyn 'Spam' Spence and former VICTORIAN PARENTS guitarist Roger Fox, although the latter would eventually be replaced by Tim Rowe, previously with STORMBRINGER.

However, Mervyn Spence was to join TRAPEZE in 1981 and BIG DAISY, having issued one single ('Fever') in 1980,subsequently folded.

Spence's travels were by no means over with TRAPEZE, the bassist / vocalist enjoying a brief tenure with WISHBONE ASH for their 'Raw To The Bone' album. In recent years Spence has released two solo albums under the name O'RYAN and set up the Parachute Records label.
