HOLY BARBARIANS were formed by vocalist Ian Astbury and drummer Scott Garrett, formerly of THE CULT and LUCIFER WONG guitarist Patrick Sugg.

Previous to HOLY BARBARIANS both Scott Garrett and Sugg had been members of NEVERLAND for two albums.

Astbury returned to THE CULT in 1999. Post HOLY BARBARIANS Sugg reunited with NEVERLAND bassist Gary Lee and FRANK ZAPPA's son Ahmet Zappa to create SLEEPS 9.
