Biography
A mid Seventies Rock Band. Guitarist Steve Bolton is ex-ATOMIC ROOSTER. Bassist Phil Chen is an ARRIVAL veteran whilst keyboard player Tony Lukyn was previously with TRANQUILITY. The debut was engineered by Mike Stone, later famous for his work as producer for JOURNEY. Violin contribution came from JADE WARRIOR's Joe O'Donnell.
1974's second album, 'Still Looking', found ex-FIELDS and KING CRIMSON keyboard player Graham Field contributing. The third album, released in 1975, had Jerome Rimson on bass and Peter Van Hooke on drums.
Upon HEADSTONE's demise Ashton, Fields and vocalist Steve Gould founded RARE BIRD. Chen was later to work with CASABLANCA, JEFF BECK and BRIAN MAY'S STARFLEET. Van Hooke would reunite with Gould and MARK ASHTON for the latter's 'Solo' album in 1979. Bolton would play with MAX & THE BROADWAY METAL CHOIR, Pop crooner PAUL YOUNG and in 1990 joined THE WHO as live guitarist. Bolton appears on PINK FLOYD man RICK WRIGHT's 1996 solo album 'Broken China'.
