HACKENSACK figured amongst the early port of calls for heavyweight vocalist Nicky Moore, later to front TIGER, SAMSON, ELECTRIC SUN and MAMMOTH. The band was founded by guitarist Ray Majors, previously with OPAL BUTTERFLY.

Majors joined MOTT in 1975 then formed BRITISH LIONS in 1978 for two albums. By 1985 he was a member of PARTNERS IN CRIME, the band led by ex STATUS QUO drummer John Coghlan. Drummer Simon Fox joined BE BOP DELUXE for their 'Futurama' album.

Bassist Paul Martinez formed part of the infamous 'bogus' FLEETWOOD MAC of 1973. Set up by a former manager the group was sued out of existence and evolved into STRETCH. Martinez then joined PAICE ASHTON LORD in 1976, veteran Blues Rockers CHICKEN SHACK the following year prior to a stint with ROBERT PLANT. In 1993 he was found to be a member of VEG.

During the 90's Moore resurrected THE NICKY MOORE BAND and also diverted himself with Soul band MISTER BIG STUFF prior to founding NICKY MOORE's BLUES CORPORATION. Moore was back fronting SAMSON for the Wacken 2000 festival in Germany. In late 2004 a previously anonymous, Swedish based Blues Rock project dubbed FROM BEHIND revealed Nicky Moore as their lead singer
