In 2004 singer GARY JOHN BARDEN, known for his role fronting the early incarnation of the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP then STATETROOPER and SILVER, issued the 'Past And present' solo opus. The frontman renewed ties with MICHAEL SCHENKER in October 2005, the German guitar guru donating a solo to the track 'Let Me Down' on a second solo album 'Songs From The Thai Room'. Returning the favour, Barden featured on the 25th anniversary MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP album, vocalising on the song 'Walls Of Steel'.

A second solo album, 'The Agony And Xtasy', was set for issue in 2006 through Escape Music. Featured musicians included the JIMMY BARNES credited drummer Bertram Engel, bassist/guitarist Michael Voss of SILVER and CASANOVA, guitarist MICHAEL SCHENKER, guitarist TOMMY DENANDER of RADIOACTIVE, guitarist Steve Morris of HEARTLAND and SHADOWMAN, guitarist Martin Huch and JADED HEART drummer Axel Kurse.

Barden guested on two tracks, 'Dreams' and 'The Open Sea', included on Swiss outfit BEGGAR'S BRIDE's debut October 2006 album 'Boulevard Of Broken Hearts'.
