The Act formed in early 1995 following Wurzel's departure from MOTÖRHEAD, the initial line-up of GANG SHOW included INMATES vocalist Bill Hurley, but illness prevented Hurley from gigging. So, for the band's first show, ex QUIREBOYS vocalist SPIKE stood in, followed by ex DOGS D'AMOUR frontman Tyla.

The band's line-up was rounded out by ex TATTOOED LOVE BOYS bassist Simon and drummer Mick Ransome (ex TATTOOED LOVE BOYS and PRAYING MANTIS). Simon was later to be replaced by erstwhile THUNDER bassist Mark 'Snake' Luckhurst.

Tyla quit the group in June 1995.
