The much touted supergroup formed by an alliance between WHITESNAKE frontman DAVID COVERDALE and LED ZEPPELIN guitarist JIMMY PAGE. COVERDALE / PAGE became reality following a meeting between the pair in early 1991, although it would be two years before the fruits of the duo's labours would be released. The 'Coverdale / Page' album was recorded with bassists Ricky Philips (ex THE BABYS and BAD ENGLISH, the latter band having toured in America with WHITESNAKE in early 1990) and Jorge Casas, ex-MONTROSE, GAMMA and HEART drummer Denny Carmassi and keyboard player Lester Mendel.

Fully intending to hit the road, Coverdale and Page retained the services of Denny Carmassi and enlisted bassist Guy Pratt and ex DAVID LEE ROTH keyboard player Brett Tuggle. However, the band only played half a dozen dates in Japan, mixing WHITESNAKE and LED ZEPPELIN numbers, before Page hooked up once more with old mate ROBERT PLANT in PAGE/PLANT.

Coverdale eventually chose to resurrect WHITESNAKE with guitarist Adrian Vandenberg. Surprisingly, in early 2006, Coverdale revealed that a possible second album from COVERDALE / PAGE could be on the cards. This set was to include six tracks left over from the original sessions alongside newly recorded material.
