Biography

British Country flavoured Rockers. Created by former PLASTIC PENNY guitarist Mick Grabham and bassist Rick Wills. The latter's previous acts JOKERS WILD and BULLITT had featured guitarist Dave Gilmour prior to his recruitment into PINK FLOYD. Following the debut album in 1970, featuring drums from ex URIAH HEEP man Nigel Olsson and guest guitar from HOOKFOOT's Caleb Quaye, vocalist Stewart Brown left and in his place came John Gilbert. COCHISE's second album sees guest guitar from QUIVER's Tim Renwick. Drummer Willie Wilson repaid the favour by decamping to QUIVER and COCHISE drafted in fresh sticksman Roy O'Temro.

COCHISE in their entirety (Grabham / Cole / Wills / O 'Temro) appeared as session musicians on the 1972 self titled album by DAVE ELLIOTT on Atlantic Records.

Following the 'So Far' album COCHISE folded. MICK GRABHAM issued a solo album 'Mick The Lad' in 1972, working with Olsson once more, before helping out HOOKFOOT on bass. He later teamed up with PROCUL HARUM for a series of albums.

Wills went onto FRAMPTON'S CAMEL, FOREIGNER, and BAD COMPANY. B.J. Cole released a 1972 solo album 'New Hovering Dog' before joining Grabham in PROCOL HARUM. He would guest on IAN THOMAS's 1974 album 'Long, Long Way'.

In 2000 Grabham and Wills re-united in a band titled LOS AMIGOS with drummer Nigel Hart.
