Biography

During 2005 ARENA, PENDRAGON and SHADOWLAND keyboard player Clive Nolan worked up his Rock Opera CAAMORA project with singer Agnieszka Swita. The title CAAMORA was taken from a cleansing ritual conducted by characters in 'The Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant' books. Ambitiously, the pair's opening gambit was to be a lavish, two hour reproduction of 'She', the H. Rider Haggard novel based on the immortal queen Ayesha, featuring a multitude of guest vocalists, instrumentalists, orchestra and choir. BOB CATLEY of MAGNUM was confirmed early in the project.

CAAMORA's debut live performance came on October 17th 2006 at TJ O'Reilly's in Marlow. The group then undertook a series of European dates in November partnered with GALAHAD, followed up concerts in Chile and Argentina. To coincide with these dates a taster EP was issued, not credited to CAAMORA but to CLIVE NOLAN & AGNIESZKA SWITA entitled 'Closer'. This comprised a re-recording of SHADOWLAND's 'Half Moon Street', a new version of 'Sacrifice', originally by STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, the exclusive song 'Closer' plus 'She' material 'World Somewhere' and 'The Bonding'.

Nolan, working with CAAMORA bassist Mark Westwood, re-activated his former band SHADOWLAND for touring in February 2009.
