In 1981 at the height of his successful solo career ex PROCUL HARUM / JUDE guitarist ROBIN TROWER forged an alliance with forme JOHN MAYALL'S BLUESBREAKERS / CREAM bassist JACK BRUCE. Joining the duo was drummer Bill Lordan, a member of Trower's solo band and veteran of SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE.

The trio cut the quaintly titled 'B.L.T.' album before the unit replaced Lordan with an earlier Trower band member drummer Reg Isadore to create BRUCE & TROWER for 1982's 'Truce'.
