DEN OF THIEVES

Biography

Belfast's DEN OF THIEVES, initially created as TYRANT, formed in 1991and featuring ex -TROJAN, ASHANTI, TESTAMENT, SEVENTH DAWN, SWEET SAVAGE and EMERALD vocalist HARV (John Harbinson), whilst guitarist Dee McNeilly was taught by Vivian Campbell of DIO , WHITESNAKE and DEF LEPPARD fame. The first recording roster also involved second guitarist Robert Barry, bassist Peter Macken and drummer Alan Wilson. The Belfast band finally got the chance to have product in the stores with Long Island making 1995's Gary Aiken produced 'Honour Among Thieves' available throughout Europe. In Japan the group was signed to Zero Corporation Records.

DEN OF THIEVES second album, 'Conspiracy', was recorded at One Zero Zero studios, Belfast with producer Joe Goudie. DEN OF THIEVES had altered shape for these sessions, inducting bass player Raymie Haller, EMERALD keyboard player Stevie Prosser and drummer Davy Bates.

HARV returned post millenium with an all new solo band, releasing the album 'Back', as well as fronting WHITESNAKE tribute act SNAKEBITE. Harbinson, Macken and Prosser formed a fresh band entitled PRESS RED for a 2006 album 'New World', involving drummer Julian Watson.

Harbinson re-emerged in 2007 fronting the resurrected FASTWAY.
