Biography

Shock, Glam band AUNT MAY was founded around pivotal member Aunt May (real name Chris Pavlou). Keyboard player Brian Munday is ex-BLOOD. The over the top image certainly meant AUNT MAY made their mark on the club scene in the mid eighties. The group released a two track demo, 'Nervous Disposition', in 1984 featuring guitarist Marcus Sparticus (real name Mark Perez). AUNT MAY also contributed two tracks 'Flesh Of The Devil' and 'Respect The Dead' to the Heavy Metal Records compilation 'Rock Pretty'.

AUNT MAY acquired ex-WOLF, CONQUEST and LAST CHAPTER drummer A.D. Dynamite (real name Adam Parsons) in early 1985. The band recruited guitarist Andy McAnimal in mid 1985 and drummer Swig Stix joined the ranks that July. Parsons would leave to join PAUL DIANNO's BATTLEZONE then BELLADONNA. Perez later formed HORSE (LONDON).

In 1987 both Lance the Creature and Brian Munday had formed GRIMM FACTS with ex-TAMARISK guitarist Peter Munday, vocalist Grim Fable and former SWEET REVENGE bassist Kid 'Bastard' Kobra.

Pavlou surfaced on the TV program 'Stars in their Eyes' masquerading as ALICE COOPER before reforming AUNT MAY in 1994 for the 'Kosenrufu' single.
