Biography

3 COLOURS RED was founded in 1995 by vocalist / bassist Pete Vuckovic, guitarist Chris McCormack, former SENSELESS THINGS guitarist Ben Harding and drummer Keith Baxter. Vuckovic had for a time been a member of a latter day DIAMOND HEAD line up. Newcastle On Tyne native McCormack's first act was GUNSLINGER. This band evolved into the SHOTGUN BRIDES before McCormack joined the highly rated FORGODSAKE for a batch of albums. After a brief spell in HONEYCRACK the guitarist teamed up with 3 COLOURS RED.

The band's April 1996 British tour saw THE WILDHEARTS as support. 3 COLOURS RED's debut album 'Pure', produced by former CHARLIE guitarist Terry Thomas, was a big media hit in Britain and the band forced a higher profile touring as support to SKUNK ANANSIE, ANTHRAX and even KISS.

McCormack later founded GRAND THEFT AUDIO with former RADIO MOSCOW and THE WILDHEARTS drummer Rich Battersby and debuted with the 'Blame Everyone' album. Vuckovic and Baxter re-emerged in 2001 with their new act ELEVATION. The power trio was rounded off by former RADIATOR man Janne Jarvis on bass. Keith Baxter would act as temporary replacement for Irish act THERAPY? during March of 2002.

3 COLOURS RED returned to action in July of 2004 with 'The Union Of Souls' for Mighty Atom Records. 3 COLOURS RED, promoting the 'Come On You Motherfucker' EP, partnered with THE YO YOS, THE SMASH UP and ALONG CAME MAN for UK touring in September 2005.
