A Swiss AOR act borne out of FACE FACE, a band that had previously released the 1994 album 'Childhood Dreams'. FACE FACE was assembled by the erstwhile HEAVEN 11 and CENTURY duo of guitarist George Miller and bassist D.D. Matter alongside ex-SERGEANT drummer Pete Jefferson and frontman Mervyn Spence, a veteran of NWoBHMers BIG DAISY, TRAPEZE, WISHBONE ASH and as a solo artist billed as O'RYAN. However, with the departure of Jefferson FACE FACE folded.

During 1999 Spence, Miller and Matter reconvened under the new guise of PURPLE CROSS pulling in erstwhile STEVE WHITNEY BAND and MATROX drummer Dany Zimmermann. This union would result in the October 2000 album 'Eyes Of The Mirror'. The record included an ambitious cover version of PINK FLOYD's 'Wish You Were Here'.
