Biography

Västerås based THRONEAEON date back to a 1991 formation convened by drummer Roger Sundquist. In their formative stages the group was entitled SHADOWS AT DAWN and subsequently AUTUMNAL. This early act drew in vocalist / guitarist Tony Freed the following year and by 1994 Andreas Dahlström had assumed the bass position and Göran Eriksson second guitar. During 1995 the new title of THRONEAEON was adopted, a demo being delivered in December of that year. Based upon this tape Swedish label Voices Of Death offered a split album deal which the band declined and instead put their efforts into the 'Carnage' demo.

In April of 1999 the Danish label Helgrind Productions issued 'The Sardonic Wrath' four track EP. In October 1999 Göran Eriksson made his exit, THRONEAEON plugging the vacancy with Jenz Klovegård of ABHOTH repute. A year later Hammerheart Records in Holland signed the band, re-releasing 'The Sardonic Wrath' as a precursor for a full length studio album. Promoting 'Neither Of Gods' THRONEAEON toured Europe in September of 2001 alongside BENEDICTION.

Founder member Roger Sundquist would leave in July of 2002. However, as Sundquist rejoined, Andreas Dahlström broke ranks in October being superseded by another ABHOTH member Mangus Wall. Shortly after releasing the 2003 album 'Godhate' the band switched title to GODHATE. Wall would vacate his post toward the close of 2003, replaced by Claes 'Clabbe' Ramberg, ironically the same man who had replaced Wall in ABHOTH. Wall joined MAUSOLEUM to record their demo 'Fluctuating Senses' as well as Power Metal band HATERUSH, featuring on the 2004 album 'Mark Of The Warrior'.

Claes Ramberg joined the ranks of IN AETERNUM in February 2006.
