Biography

Västerås based Groove / Thrash Metal band. SLAPDASH members guitarists Lars Lindén and Magnus Söderman, bassist Fredrik Jacobsen were all previously with Death Metal act ROSICRUCIAN, whilst drummer Bärget (a.k.a. Johnny Bergman) was ex-MR. HANGPIKE. SLAPDASH have covered songs from such diverse acts as STORMTROOPERS OF DEATH ('Kill Yourself'), on the debut 1995 'Bound' EP issued by MNW Records, to Disco divas EN VOGUE' ('Free Your Mind').

SLAPDASH's '240.25 Actual Reality' album, released in October 1996, was recorded at Studio Underground in Västerås then mixed at Quest Studio, Uppsala. The EN VOGUE cover version featured guests Patrik Wirén of MISERY LOVES CO. and Tobias Danielsson of MINDJIVE.

During 1997 Söderman and new SLAPDASH bassist Lasse Lindh founded ZEELION with former SCHIZOPHRENIC CIRCUS and ZELLO vocalist Pelle Saether. By 1998 Söderman was in the ranks of Metal covers band POWERAGE, the act that subsequently evolved into AXENSTAR. Ex-bassist Lars Lindén would join up with CARNAL FORGE for their 2001 album 'Please Die!' Meantime singer Jens Mortensen enrolled into the German "Death Rock" outfit REVOLVER for the 2002 album 'The Unholy Mother Of Fuck'. Mortensen joined CARNAL FORGE in August of 2004.
