Previously known as ATROCITY with vocalist Glyn Grimwade. Adopted the title ROSICRUCIAN in 1989 when the first demo 'Initiation Into Nothingness' was recorded. The band added second guitarist Lars Linden after the release of their second demo in 1990. Grimwade opted to leave after the 'Silence' album and was duly replaced by ex-MEZZROW frontman Ulf Petersson. Finding themselves without a drummer the drums on the second album 'No Cause For Celebration' were handled by Johnny Bergman of MR. HANGPIKE. ROSICRUCIAN finally located a permanant drummer in Andreas Wallström in late 1994.

Frontman Lars Linden, guitarist Magnus Söderman and bass player Fredrik Jacobsen later formed SLAPDASH releasing the 'Bound' album in 1996. The following year Söderman, also active with LOST SOULS, involved himself in the ZEALION project band and by 1998 was a member of Metal covers band POWERAGE. 2001 found Lars Lindén a member of Death Thrashers CARNAL FORGE. Early 2004 found Magnus Söderman guesting on the VICIOUS album 'Vile, Vicious & Victorious'.
