Early 2005 brought an announcement that B-THONG, IRON SHIT SNAKES and TRANSPORT LEAGUE credited frontman Tony Jelencovich was in collaboration with former THE CROWN and IMPIOUS guitarist Marko Tervonen in a new Trollhättan based unit billed ANGEL BLAKE. This project soon scored a label deal with Metal Blade Records. The band's first set of demos, simply billed 'Demo 2005', included a cover version of the ROLLING STONES 'Paint It Black'.

In January 2006 a full band compliment would be unveiled, with Jelencovich and Tervonen being joined by SCAR SYMMETRY and UNMOORED guitarist Christian Älvestam, contrabassist Ȫrjan Wressel and THE CROWN credited Janne Saarenpää on drums. The industrious Älvestam has an extended roll call of band endeavours such as CARNALIZED, ANDUIN '98, EVENDIM, LORD OF THRONES, ORGY OF FLESH, SATTYG, RED SKIES DAWNING, THE STINK BUG COLLECTIVE and DEN TIDLÖSA EVIGHETEN.

The debut 'Angel Blake' album would be set for April release through Century Media Records. The group's Swedish live debut came on October 28th supporting ADAM WEST at the Trollhättan Sand. Christian Älvestam donated guest vocals to ZONARIA's 2006 debut album 'Rendered In Vain', featuring on the track 'Attending Annihilation'. Janne Saarenpää sessioned drums on NETHERBIRD's EP 'Boulevard Black'.

During late 2007 Christian Älvestam and Anders Edlund announced the Swedish/Finnish Progressive Metal "supergroup" SOLUTION.45, featuring in its ranks keyboard player Mikko Härkin, ex-SONATA ARCTICA and KOTIPELTO, second guitarist Jani Stefanovic, from MISERATION and ESSENCE OF SORROW, guitarist Tom Gardiner, of SCORCHED EARTH TACTICS and HATEFORM, and drummer 'Stuka' (a.k.a. Rolf Pilve), of ESSENCE OF SORROW, MISERATION and DREAMTALE.

During 2007 Jelencovich initiated ICON IN ME, a Russian/Swedish/Danish modern neo-Thrash Metal band featuring HOSTILE BREED guitarist D. Frans and Danish drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen, of SUBMISSION, THE ARCANE ORDER, SCARVE, INSTANT CARNAGE, STRANGLER and SOILWORK repute.

In November 2008 Marko Tervonen launched a new Doom Metal project in union with his wife Elina Tervonen and keyboard player Andreas Tiberto called LADY MOURNING.
