XENOFANES is a Strängnäs Black / Death act dating to 1993. The group debuted in April 1995 with the three song demo 'In The Shadow Of Naked Trees' recorded at Studio Underground in Västerås. A 1996 promotional session was cut at Rago Studios with Jonas Granvik of WITHOUT GRIEF acting as producer and the following year Cadla Communications issued a split cassette shared with CRANIAL DUST.

Guitarist Daniel Sporrenstrand joined HYPNOSIA during 1999. XENOFANES members resurfaced in trad Metal band DECEIVER. Bassist Crille Lundin, in alliance with Pete Flesh Karlsson of FLESH, DECEIVER and MAZE OF TORMENT, formulated THROWN during 2006 for the album 'The Suicidal Kings Occult'.
