Stockholm based Glam-Electro "Space Rock" act SPYKE, founded in March of 1997 by vocalist Maciek van de Graaf and guitarist Aris Restaino, signed a record deal with GMR Music Group in 2002 for an album billed 'Divine Decadence'. Prior to this commercial debut the band, formatively billed as SPIKE, had released demos 'Say No way', in 1997 limited to 200 copies, and 'Rocket Ready Ride' also restricted to 200 copies, in 1999. The transition to SPYKE came with a 2000 demo 'Mirage', followed up by the single 'Crypt Of Love'. Bassist Per Schelander would also feature in HOUSE OF SHAKIRA and joined ROYAL HUNT in July 2005.
