Classicly inspired Doomsters SOBRE NOCTURNE, actually a solo adjunct of NECROMICON member Stefan Lundgren, emerged with the Spring 1997 demo 'Mare Cocurbit' during 1997. For these recordings Lundgren employed bassist Markus Sundström and vocalist Jenny Berg. A further untitled session ensued that same year with Sundström on bass once again, Jörgen Åhman on guitar and Michael Öberg delivering drums.

'Chapter 3 - Rejection' arrived in April of 1998 with female vocal parts delegated to Caroline Boström along with Sundström and Öberg reprising their roles. Teaming up with MASTER MASSIVE vocalist / guitarist Jan Strandh and MORIFADE and NEPHENZY drummer Kim Arnell an album 'Serpentine Dreamweaver' was cut for the Loud n' Proud label.

Following the recording of the album 'Serpentine Dreamweaver' the MASTER MASSIVE and ARGENTO duo of Karl Nyhlin and Petter Karlsson were added as a new rhythm section. Pianist Björn Strandh was also inducted in February of 2000. Karlsson subsequently worked with THERION.
