RISING SHADOWS was created in Stockholm during 1996 by Fredrik Klingwall, also associated with IN GREY, under the formative name SHADOW OF THE CONCEALED, GOATSODOMIZER, ANIMA MORTE and Death Metal act FLAGELLATION. Following one demo the RISING SHADOWS title was adopted, first employed commercially on the August 1999 demo 'Delirium'. In August of 2004 Klingwall formed a creative union with singer singer Linda-li Dahlin to craft the 'Horror Vacui' demo.

FREDRIK KLINGWALL joined Progressive Metal band LOCH VOSTOK in December 2005 and issued Industrial solo album 'Entrance' in 2006. RISING SHADOWS set the 'Falling Deep Within' album for release via Twilight Records in December.
